We left Indianapolis, Indiana this morning. It was so sad to leave Matt & Nat's house. It is so difficult to leave people you love so much. My heart hurt leaving the Hoosier state.
Our first stop was St. Louis, Missouri. We went up the Gateway Arch. The Arch was a memorial built as a Gateway to the West. Jon and I thought it was fitting to make it our first stop on our way to Arizona. The tram to the top of the arch was freaky. The doorway to get into the little cart was only 4 feet high. Before Jon bought our tickets to ride the tram they asked him if anyone in our party was claustrophobic. It was a pretty tight ride.
We are now in Joplin, Missouri staying in a hotel. The kids are sleeping. Trey looks like a little prince. He is propped up with about 5 pillows in his own queen-sized bed.
Please pray for our travels tomorrow. We hope to stay overnight in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. That would get us close enough to be in Arizona on Wednesday night.
